The Highland Avenue corridor in Needham connects its commercial core to Newton and Interstate 95 and is undergoing a significant state funded roadway, pedestrian, and bikeway improvement project. Underutilized and outdated developments on both sides of the interstate are primed for redevelopment with an eye toward uses like medical office, elder care, mixed-use and multifamily residential. Form + Place provided site analysis, master planning, concept, and schematic design for Boston Development Group’s initial investigation of the redevelopment of this site. With a topography change of almost 30 feet, creative site design and thoughtful building placement are key in unlocking the value of this property.
